President of Rwanda, Paul Kagame has described President Muhammadu Buhari of Nigeria as the anti-corruption champion of the African Union.
Kagame further called on all leaders to rise up and fight corruption, noting that the scourge is not peculiar to Africa.
2. JAMB Releases Cut-Off Marks For 2019 Admission
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) on Tuesday, announced the approved cut-off marks for the 2019 admission process into higher institutions of learning.
The board announced the official marks at the end of its 19th Policy Meeting with heads of tertiary institutions in Nigeria.

Senator Ahmed Lawan has emerged winner of the 9th assembly Senate president, defeating his challenger, Ali Ndume.
Naija News reports Lawan polled a total of 79 votes to emerge the winner.

Candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Senator Ovie Omo-Agege has emerged the Deputy Senate President of the 9th National Assembly.
He defeated the candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Senator Ike Ekweremadu during the election which took place on the floor of the Senate Chamber on Tuesday.
5. 34-Year Old Yakubu Danladi Emerges Speaker Of Kwara State Assembly
It is a new dawn for Nigeria as 34-year-old Yakubu Saliu Danladi today, emerged Speaker of the Kwara State House of Assembly.
Danladi is a first-time honourable member representing Ilesha-Gwanara constituency.
6. Femi Gbajabiamila Emerges Speaker Of The House of Representatives
Mr Femi Gbajabiamila has emerged winner of the 9th National Assembly speakership.
He secured 283 votes to defeat his only challenger, Umar Bago who garnered a paltry 76 votes.
7. Wase Emerges Deputy Speaker Of The House Of Representatives Unopposed
Ahmed Idris Wase has been elected as deputy speaker of the house of representatives unopposed.
Wase was nominated by Sada Jibia (APC-Katsina) and seconded by Hon. Akpan Luke (PDP-Akwa Ibom).
8. Finally! INEC Issues Rochas Okorocha’s Certificate Of Return
The Certificate of Return has been issued to ex-Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
This followed the decision of the board after its management meeting on Tuesday.
9. Atiku Vs Buhari: APC, Buhari Begs Presidential Election Tribunal To Strike Out Atiku’s Case
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and President Muhammadu Buhari have asked the Presidential Election Tribunal to strike out the petition of Atiku Abubakar for being fundamentally defective.
The Independent National Electoral Commission had declared Buhari winner of the February 23 Presidential Election.
10. June 12: Nigeria Celebrates Democracy Day
Nigerians today are celebrating the maiden June 12 democracy day in the country after it was signed into law by President Muhammadu Buhari.
