1. Dasuki: Buhari’s Ex-Minister To Face Disciplinary Panel Over Misconduct
Former Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami, will on Friday, June 14, face the Disciplinary Panel of the Legal Practitioners Privileges Committee over statement concerning ex-National Security Adviser, Sambo Dasuki.
In a hearing Notice obtained by PRNigeria, the former minister is expected to face the panel for investigation in a statement credited to him in the Voice of America (VOA) Hausa Service on July 13, 2018.
2. PDP To Challenge Court Ruling On Okorocha’s Certificate Of Return
Jones Onyeriri, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Senatorial candidate for Imo West, has vowed to challenge the ruling of the Federal High Court that ordered INEC to issue a certificate of return to Rochas Okorocha.
In a statement to newsmen on Saturday, the Director General of Jones Onyeriri Campaign Organisation, Eze Ugochukwu, accused Justice Okon Abang of the Federal High Court Abuja of bias.
3. APC: Oyegun Not Behind Oshiomhole’s Travail – Party Chieftain
A former spokesperson of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Erhahon, has stated that ex-party chairman John Odigie-Oyegun should not be blamed for the crisis rocking the Adams Oshiomhole-led National Working Committee (NWC).
In a statement released to newsmen at the weekend, he said blaming Oshiomhole’s predecessor will only complicate matters.

President Muhammadu Buhari‘s decision to keep the list of his next cabinet close to his chest has left many top politicians in a state of anxiety and confusion.

Former Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Godswill Akpabio, has accused the Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC) of the state, Mike Igini, of been behind his loss at the polls.
The former lawmaker who represented Akwa Ibom north-west district in the 8th assembly made this known in Essien Udim local government area of the state while empowering some of his constituents.

Senator Ali Ndume (APC-Borno South) has said the endorsement of President Muhammadu Buhari or lawmakers-elect doesn’t matter in the race to become Senate President.
Naija News reports that over 60 senators-elect had endorsed Senator Ahmed Lawan (APC-Yobe North) as their candidate for Senate Presidency.

The Presidential Amnesty Programme has successfully trained in different vocational skills and is set to graduate no fewer than 137 persons.

A Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) lawmaker representing Delta State in the House of Representatives, Mutu Ebomo, is under investigation by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) over alleged forgery and impersonation.

9. Oshiomhole: Why APC Committee Lacks Powers To Probe Me – Shuaibu
The Deputy National Chairman (north) of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Lawal Shuaibu, has said the committee raised by the ruling party to probe him lacks such powers.
Naija News recalls that Shuaibu had called for the resignation of the National Chairman of the party, Adams Oshiomhole, for running the party like a dictator and imposing decisions on the party without consultations with the NWC.
10. Nigerian Athlete, Oduduru, Breaks Records To Become Second Fastest African Athlete Ever
Divine Oduduru, a Nigerian athlete has broken a new record as he won his first NCAA 100m title clocking 9.86 seconds to become second African runner to ever achieve this feat, making it the second-fastest time in NCAA history.
This new feat has made him the second Nigerian after Olopade Adeniken in 1992 and third African after Namibia’s Frankie Frederick in 1991 to have successfully completed a sprint double at the NCAA Division 1 Championship on Friday.
