Drama As EFCC Unseals Houses Erroneously Linked To Fayose
The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Nigeria’s anti-graft agency, has reportedly unsealed some properties it linked to the former governor of Ekiti State, Ayodele Fayose, in Ado Ekiti, the state capital.
Naija News recalls that EFCC sealed off the properties, November 22, 2018, marked them with red ink and wrote on them: “EFCC under investigation, KEEP OFF ABJ-HQ FAFI.”
Apparently displeased with the development, Lere Olayinka, the spokesman to Fayose, accused the EFCC of sealing houses belonging to innocent people in the state under the guise that they were linked to him, saying it was only in Nigeria that an anti-corruption agency would first go about sealing houses before determining the ownership, which can be done so easily by visiting relevant agencies

What Buhari Said After Receiving AFCFTA Report
President Muhammadu Buhari says Nigeria supports free trade as long as it is fair and conducted on an equitable basis.
Naija News reports that the President made this statement when he received the report of the committee to assess impact and readiness for the Africa Continental Free Trade Area Agreement (AFCFTA).

Buhari Govt Writes British Parliament Over ‘Persecution’ Of Nigerian Christians
The Federal Government of Nigeria led by President Muhammadu Buhari has rejected claims by Northern Christian Elders Forum that the All Progressives Congress (APC) administration was practicing bigotry and isolating Christians in Nigeria.
Naija News reports that the Nigerian Government gave this response in a letter to the British Parliamentary Group, which was signed by Nigeria’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, George Adetola Oguntade.
A statement issued by Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant, Media and Publicity to the President, said two letters were addressed to Rt Rev’d Philip Mounstephen, a former secretary of the Church Missionary Society (CMS) and now Head, “Independent Review of Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) Support of Persecuted Christians, “and Baroness Berridge, the Chair of “All Parliamentary Group for International Freedom of Religion or Belief.”

Ex-Senate President Writes British Parliament Over Boko Haram
Ameh Ebute, a former President of the Nigerian Senate, has written the Brittish Parliament, demanding their support to aid Nigeria resurgent Islamic State of Iraq-backed Boko Haram terrorists, renamed Islamic State’s West Africa Province (ISWAP).
Naija Newsreports that the Elder statesman made this request in a letter addressed to Rt. Hon. Mrs. Kemi Badenoch, MP, Member of Parliament (MP), Saffron Walden constituency, other Colleague of the House of Commons, noted that it will be good enough for the House of Commons.
In the letter, Ebute noted that it will be good enough for the House of Commons to add their voice of reminder to the issue and persuasion of relevant authorities to initiate appropriate actions for weaponry aid to Nigeria with modern technology devices.

The immediate past governor of Ekiti state, southwest Nigeria, Ayodele Fayose, says the kidnappings and herdsmen menace will not stop in the Southwest region and Nigeria at large except leaders in the country take responsibilities.

President Muhammadu Buhari has on Thursday, swore-in Mr. Elias Mbam the Chairman of the Revenue Mobilization, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).
