APC’s Tinubu Begs Nigerians To Assist PDP

The National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Nigeria’s ruling party, Bola Tinubu has pleaded with Nigerians to assist the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Nigeria’s main opposition party, to overcome its “colossal defeat” in the February 2019 general elections.

Naija News reports that Tinubu made this statement on Monday in Makkah, the kingdom of Saudi Arabia after an Iftar dinner meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari, along with Sultan of Sokoto, His Eminence, Alhaji Muhammadu Sa’ad Abubakar and Emir of Kazaure, Dr Najib Hussaini Adamu.

Militants May Declare Niger Delta Republic June 1st

A militant group known as the Network of Niger Delta Republic Fighters (NNDRF) have expressed sadness over the situation in Nigeria.

The group in a statement on Monday by its Director of Information, Maxwell Dan, threatened to declare the Niger Delta Republic on June 1, 2019.

9th National Assembly: Lawmaker Drops Ambition For Gbajabiamila

A member of the House of Representatives, Hon. Yusuf Buba (APC-Adamawa) has withdrawn from the Speakership race of the 9th National Assembly to support Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila, the anointed candidate of the APC.

Speaking at a press conference, the lawmaker stated that the ruling party’s zoning policy made him drop his ambition.

At the resumption of hearing on Monday, Senator Smart, the APC candidate in Kogi West senatorial district, closed his case before the National and State Assembly Election Tribunal that is adjudicating on the February 23 National Assembly election.
