1. Election Tribunal: Atiku, PDP Make Fresh Request

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and its presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, have filed a fresh application for access to the information contained in the smart card readers and “central server”, which it said the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) used for the conduct of the disputed election. They filed the application before the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, where their petition challenging President Muhammadu Buhari and his All Progressives Congress’ victory at the poll is pending.

2. Atiku Threatens To Sue Buhari’s Aide, Demands N500m

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate in the 2019 election, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, has been reported to have asked President Muhammadu Buhari’s aide Lauretta Onochie, for an apology and N500 million for defamation. Atiku in a letter dated May 14 and addressed to Onochie by his lawyer Mike Ozekhome, threatened to begin N2 billion suit against her if she did not meet his demands.

3. Atiku Vs Buhari: PDP, Atiku Speak On Plotting To Overthrow Buhari

Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar has told the Information minister, Lai Mohammed to come up with evidence if has any, to back his claim that he (Atiku) and the PDP were planning to overthrow President Muhammadu Buhari. This is even as the PDP urged the Minister to stop playing to the gallery and instead, face the challenge of speaking for a government that has “failed to deliver on the promises it made to the people four years ago.”
