Amazing Aubameyang Sends Arsenal To Europa League Final
Pierre Aubameyang’s hattrick has placed English Premier League side Arsenal, one win away from returning to the UEFA Champions League.
Three goals from Aubameyang and one from Lacazette, who between them have 10 of Arsenal’s last 13 Europa League strikes, mean that Arsenal will be in Baku, 4,230km from here.
That also means The Gunners manager Unai Emery will be in another final: this was his 19th consecutive Europa League tie without elimination.
Barcelona ‘plotting move’ for Lacazette
Barcelona are preparing a £70m move for Arsenal star Alexandre Lacazette, according to the Metro.
They are said to favour a move for the Frenchman over Manchester United frontman Marcus Rashford.
Lacazette has 13 goals in the Premier League for the Gunners this season, and would likely be used in a rotation system with Luis Suarez.
Pepe ‘too expensive’ for Arsenal
Reports in France claim that Lille’s star winger Nicolas Pepe is set to be too expensive for Arsenal, who are looking to strengthen their attacking midfielders.
Pepe is in high demand with Chelsea, Liverpool and Barcelona all reported to be taking an interest in the Ivorian, who Lille are supposedly asking around £65m for.
The 23-year-old has 20 goals and 11 assists in Ligue 1 this season and is leading Lille into the 2019/20 Champions League.
