Omokri Reacts To Buhari’s ‘Private Visit’ To UK

Former Presidential media aide, Reno Omokri has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to carry out his “private visit” in Nigeria to prove there is a “surplus of medical doctors” in the country as stated by his minister, Chris Ngige.

Naija News had reported earlier that the President will later today depart Nigeria for the United Kingdom (UK) on what the Presidency tagged a “private visit.”

According to the Presidency, President Buhari will return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019.

“Further to the official visit by President @MBuhari to Lagos Wednesday where he commissioned a number of projects executed by @followlasg the President is scheduled to depart for Maiduguri, the Borno State capital for another official visit Thursday.

“He is expected to commission developmental projects especially in education, healthcare and roads. At the end of the visit to Borno State, President @MBuhari will be proceeding to the United Kingdom on a private visit. He is expected to return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019,” the Presidency said in a statement on the micro-blogging site, Twitter on Thursday.

Quoting the statement on Twitter, Omokri wrote: “Dear @MBuhari, We know what “private visit” means. We are not fools. Only yesterday, your minister of Labour told us ‘Nigeria has more than enough doctors’. Why not prove him right by doing your “private visit” in Nigeria?”
