FG Speaks On Plan To Dissolve Buhari’s Cabinet

The Minister of Information and Culture, Lai Mohammed, has rejected reports of a plan to dissolve President Muhammadu Buhari‘s cabinet.

Buhari had last week asked ministers to submit a comprehensive “status reports on policies, programmes and projects” from their respective ministries, departments and agencies. The president asked them to make the submissions to the office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha.

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has said the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been thrown into confusion following the interview granted by a top official of INEC confirming the existence of a central election results transmission server in the commission.

In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan, on Thursday, the PDP said the interview speaks volumes about the reported denial by INEC of the existence of such a server for the 2019 general elections as well as the frenzy by the President Muhammadu Buhari’s team to distract the Presidential election petitions tribunal by externalizing its proceedings.

A storm of reactions by Nigerians has greeted President Muhammadu Buhari’s proposed “private visit” to the United Kingdom (UK).

Naija News had reported earlier that the President will later today depart Nigeria for the UK on what the Presidency tagged a “private visit.”According to the Presidency, President Buhari will return to Nigeria on May 5, 2019.

A finger of accusation has been pointed towards some Police and military operatives by some lawmakers at the Senate plenary on Thursday claiming a source with information revealed that they have a direct link with bandits and kidnappers across Nigeria.

Five former ministers are still listed as members of President Muhammadu Buhari’s cabinet on the website of the Office of the Secretary to the Government of the Federation many months after they resigned their appointments to pursue different ambitions.

The names of the five former ministers and their former portfolios were still listed on the website, www.osgf.gov.ng., Punch reports.The SGF, Boss Mustapha, had in May 2018 unveiled the website which was upgraded with N64m.
