Five persons have been confirmed dead while 45 persons have been left with various degrees of injuries in a suicide bomb attack in Maiduguri, the Borno state capital.
Naija News reports that the bombers were identified to be two females.
The bombers were said to have been trapped with Improvised Explosives Device (IEDs) vests and attacked a crowded place at the Muna-Dalti area of Maiduguri on Saturday night.
While confirming the attack, the Head of Emergency Response Operations of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency (SEMA), Kachalla Usman said two of the deceased died while on admission in the hospital.
According to him, the injured persons have been taken to the Specialist Hospital in Maiduguri and are currently receiving medical attention. for treatment.
