Senator Shehu Sani (PRP-Kaduna Central) reacted to a statement by the Chief of Army Staff (CoAS) Tukur Buratai.
Buratai had revealed that military intelligence show some politicians are planning violence including bombings and assassinations to disrupt the conduct of the elections.
Speaking on Wednesday, the chief of army staff warned that the Army ‘will not tolerate any acts that will undermine national security’
But reacting in a post on Twitter on Thursday, Shehu Sani stated that security agencies only threatening states controlled by the opposition.
He wrote: “Whenever you hear the apparatuses of the state are threatening with fire and fury, it’s in the states controlled by the opposition; in other states, they are mute, cowardly or evasive on matters of professionalism.”
