The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Atiku Abubakar has expressed his reactions and gone ahead to speak on the victory of Senator Ademola Adeleke in the Osun state governorship election.
Atiku on Friday expressed joy over the victory of his party’s governorship candidate in the Osun state Governorship Election Petitions Tribunal.
Naija News reports that the tribunal had on Friday declared Adeleke winner of the governorship election held in Osun State last year.
Recall that the governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Gboyega Oyetola had earlier been declared as the winner of the governorship poll, but Adeleke who appears to be confident over his victory in the election decided to challenge the outcome of the poll at the tribunal which now declared him (Adeleke) winner of the poll.
While reacting to the judgment on his twitter handle, Atiku said the judiciary had through its ruling proven to be the last hope of the common man and defender of democracy.
In his words, Atiku wrote via his twitter handle; “Truly, the judiciary is the last hope of the common man and the defender of our democracy. Congratulations Sen. Ademola Adeleke.”
