The news that the chopper carrying Vice President Yemi Osinbajo and members of his team crash-landed in Kabba, Kogi state, north-central Nigeria, has been greeted by a storm of reactions by Nigerians.
Naija News had quoted Laolu Akande, the senior special assistant to the vice-president on media and publicity, as saying that the chopper crash-landed in Kabba on Saturday.
Akande said Osinbajo and his entire crew are safe, noting that the Vice President has continued with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State.
His words: “VP Osinbajo’s Chopper crash lands in Kabba, but he and the entire crew safe.
“He is continuing with his engagements and plans for the day in Kogi State,” Akande wrote on Twitter.
Moments after the news broke, Nigerians took to the micro-blogging site, to show their excitement that the Vice President is safe.
