Actor Yomi Fabiyi Speaks On Baba Suwe’s Ailment

After news of Baba Suwe’s illness started making the round in the Nigerian entertainments industry, Scores of Nollywood actors have been reacting to the sick state of the popular, comic actor.

Naija News reports that some of Baba Suwe’s colleagues have been showing support to the actor who is down with chronic diabetes.

Recall that Naija News had earlier reported on the illness of the veteran actor. The News platform had also reported that scores of Nigerian celebrities including Mr Latin spoke on the state of the actor’s illness.

In a similar vein, popular Nigerian actor, Yomi Fabiyi has also joined other celebrities in the country to declare his support for Baba Suwe.

Yomi Fabiyi said the veteran actor played a huge role in his life, therefore, he can never abandon him at this critically ill state of his.

Yomi Fabiyi who took to his Instagram handle to declare his support for the veteran actor said in his words; “He is an entertainer, he is consistent for more than 2 decades. He paved the way for me to come into the movie industry, featured me first in a movie, fed me, gave me accomodation, gave me a platform, ride me in his car, learnt MC hussle from him etc HE IS AN ICON, LEGEND and a game changer.

I will stand by you no matter what. A child will fight, defend and protect his or her father solicited or unsolicited. I will never be an ingrate. Get well soon Presi”.

Baba Suuwe was born on August 1958 in Inabere Street in Lagos Island where he grew up but hails from the Ikorodu local government area of Lagos State, southwestern Nigeria.

He began acting in 1972 but came into limelight after he featured in a movie titled, Omolasan, a film produced by Obalende.

Recall that the Nigerian actor lost his feet in the industry after he was alleged of cocaine trafficking by the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in 2011, although it was an allegation that was described as false and defamatory by the ruling of the Lagos high court of law.
