The new Inspector General of the Nigeria Police Force (NPF) Adamu Mohammed has appointed Frank Mba as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of the Force.
Naija News reports that the development means Mba will replace Jimoh Moshood who has been serving the Force in that capacity.
The new Police PRO, who is an Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), studied law at the University of Lagos and was called to the Nigerian bar in 2002.
Mba hails from Ezimo in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State, South East Nigeria. He was the best graduating cadet inspector in academics at the Police Academy, Kano, in 1993.
The new police spokesman rose up the police ladder and was promoted to assistant superintendent of police in 1999, deputy superintendent of police in 2003, superintendent of police in 2006 and chief superintendent of police in 2012.
Naija News recalls that Mba had before now, served as the Force PRO under the Inspector-General of Police, Mohammed Abubakar from 2012 to 2014.
Mba was, however, relieved of his post after Abubakar’s departure just like Moshood has been relieved after the tenure of Ibrahim Idris.
