Former President Olusegun Obasanjo says he is in the position and has what it takes to correct President Muhammadu Buhari.

He added that Buhari would have lost the 2015 election if he hadn’t supported him.

2. DSS hands over Aisha Buhari’s former ADC to police over alleged fraud

The State Security Service has announced the transfer to the police of the orderly attached to Aisha Buhari ,Sani Baba-Inna to the Nigerian police custody.

the spokesperson for the SSS, Peter Afunanya, who made this known in a statement earlier today said he has been handed over for further administrative action.

3. Police arrest suspected killers of Alex Badeh

Some suspects alleged to be involved in the killing of a former chief of defence staff, Alex Badeh have been arrested by the Nigeria Police Force.

The suspects, will reportedly be paraded at the headquarters of the police force in Abuja on Thursday.

4. President Buhari to launch aggressive campaigns for re-election bid soon

President Muhammadu Buhari has revealed on Tuesday, that he will soon launch and begin aggressive campaign for the 2019 Presidential election.

He insisted that the focus of his campaign will remain hinged on the fight against corruption, tackling insecurity and improving the economy.

5. Nigerian police denies its personnel ran away from fighting Boko Haram

The Nigerian Police Force has denied reports in certain sections of the media that some of its men deployed to fight Boko Haram terrorists have absconded.

It stated that its personnel deployed to fight the terrorists are all on ground and in high spirits contrary to initial reports that 167 out of the 2,000 deployed had fled.

The Nigerian Police Force has urged Senator Dino Melaye to confess if he is involved in any crime instead of whipping up public sentiments to cause distraction.

The police said this in reaction to claims by the Kogi senator that Police IG, Ibrahim Idris is planning to arrest and kill him.

The Presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic party, Atiku Abubakar, has told President Muhammadu Buhari to stop blaming his inability to fight corruption on the Nigerian system.

According to the President, his administration is slow in fighting corruption because the system is slow.

8. Nigerians should blame President Buhari if we embark on another strike – NLC

The Nigeria Labour Congress has once again threatened the Federal government with a proposed industrial action in January owing to what it perceived as the silence of President Muhammadu Buhari over the N30,000 minimum wage.

The union also knocked Buhari for his proposed establishment of a technical committee to look into the minimum wage issue.

9. 13 Soldiers, One Police Officer Killed In Yobe State

The Operation Lafiya Dole has confirmed that it lost 13 soldiers and a police officer when Boko Haram attackers ambushed them along the Damaturu-Maiduguri highway on Monday evening.

The attackers stormed the military base located in Kukareta village under Damaturu with Heavy gunfire causing residents of the area to flee into bushes and scamper for safety.

10. Aisha Yesufu attacks Buhari on Zamfara killings

Aisha Yesufu, a right activist who is also the co-convener of the Bring Back Our Girls (BBOG) group, has cried out at President Muhammadu Buhari over the recent killings in Zamfara State.

She accused the president of being heartless based on reactions to the killings.
