Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna Central in the upper house of the National Assembly, has accused President Muhammadu Buhari of using the instrument’s of the state to intimidate opposition ahead of the 2019 general elections.
In times like this, it’s impossible to divorce the freezing of the account of Peter Obi from partisanship. This act is inimical to the image of the Government and that of the country. The ruling establishment should demonstrate that they can win without persecuting the opposition.

Senator Sani, who Naija News reports recently defected from the All Progressive Congress, made the claim in a tweet posted to his Twitter handle late on Saturday, December 8.
According to him, the erstwhile administration of former president Goodluck Jonathan used different forms of state-orchestrated intimidation against the opposition which was led by then president candidate of the All Progressives Congress Buhari.
History, he claimed, was now repeating itself following the alleged intimidation of opposition by the government of President Buhari himself ahead of the 2019 elections.
In the run up to 2015 elections, the then government used the apparatus of the state to intimidate members of the then opposition led by PMB.Its sad now that history is repeating itself;the fangs, the claws & the venom of the state is ‘progressively’ unleashed on the opposition.

Although, the senator did not reveal the specific cases of intimidation allegedly committed against the opposition by President Buhari administration, his tweet came just hours after main opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) raised the alarm over alleged intimidation on Saturday.
Sir, you just got it WRONG this time GEJ never intimidated the then opposition party, for the sake of posterity get your facts right on this subject matter, thanks.
