Comments Trail Death Of Shehu Shagari On Social Media.
While the announcement that Shehu Shagari, Nigeria’s first Executive President is dead, trends on social media and news media platforms, some Nigerians have revealed certain facts about the death of the 93 year old hero.
Naija News reports that Shehu Shagari served as the first and only President of Nigeria’s Second Republic between 1 October 1979 – 31 December 1983 before he was overthrown in a coup by incumbent President Muhammadu Buhari.
This, Reno Omokri said is ironic as Buhari today launched is re-election campaign at Uyo, Akwa Ibom state. He notes that Buhari wants to enjoy governance to the fullest. He said this in a tweet which was deleted almost at about 7pm today.
In further reactions, Nigerians labelled the deceased Shagari as one of the foundations of Nigeria’s problems today.

The military coup in 1983 was coordinated by members of the Nigerian military & led to the ouster of President Shehu Shagari,and the installation of Buhari as Head of State.
Shehu Shagari died today at 93 yrs old.
Buhari is running for President in 2019.

Late Shehu Shagari who was born on 1st October ,1979 is survived by his children Muhammad Bala Shagari, Aminu Shehu Shagari and Abdulrahman Shehu Shagari, Naija News learnt.
