Katsina State House Of Assembly Gets New Speaker
The member representing Zango constituency, Hon. Tasi’u Musa Maigari has been nominated as the Speaker of Katsina state House of Assembly.
Maigari emerged the speaker after the resignation of Abubakar Yahaya Kusada as speaker following his election as member of House of Representatives representing Ingawa/Kusada/Kankia Federal constituency.
At the resumption of the house sitting today, Kusada announced his resignation and the Clerk of the house thereafter declared the seat vacant and calls for nomination to fill the position.
The member representing Matazu, Ibrahim Dikko put forward the nomination which was seconded by Sani Lawal from Baure Constituency which the whole house agreed.
The new speaker has adjourned sitting to January 14th 2019.
