Former Presidential Spokesperson Released On Bail From EFCC Custody

Doyin Okupe, aide to former president Goodluck Jonathan, has been released from custody by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).

Okupe was arrested by the EFCC last week over allegations of cybercrime and has now been released on bail.

Naija News recalls he willingly turned himself in after an alleged attempt by the agency to arrest him failed last weekend.

The news of the release of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain was confirmed on his twitter handle, adding that the EFCC treated him with respect while in their custody.

“The Efcc released me on bail tonite within 48hrs as stipulated by law.”

“I was treated wt utmost courtesy. I feel proud & grateful,” Okupe said.
