Join The Restructuring Campaign (JTRC) has explained why they are supporting the presidential aspiration of the Peoples Democratic Party candidate, Atiku Abubakar.
The social-political group who made this known to Naija News also stated that among all the presidential candidates presented by various political parties for the 2019 election, only former Vice President has shown readiness and commitment to restructure Nigeria if elected president of Nigeria.
Nigeria is perfectly set up for Atiku. Over 70% of Nigerians agree we need to structure. We need to lessen the behemoth FG. Give Buhari 5 terms, he doesn’t see any need. Atiku has been talking about restructuring from time immemorial. GEJ’s confab report is a starting point!

According to the Director General of the group, Sir Izuoma Ibe, “Atiku has taken the restructuring agenda beyond campaign promises; his policy statement is workable and can achieve its set objectives which cut across the various sector of the society.”
“We know there are many candidates who are today promises to restructure Nigeria. But one thing is clear, going by the antecedents of Atiku, he stands a better chance than others. Going through The Atiku Plan, one can easily see the Nigeria we hope for. We are not declaring support for Atiku because his name is Atiku, we are supporting Atiku because he is the true face of restructuring in Nigeria.”
“As I speak today, I represent scores of Nigerians in different states in Nigeria today. I speak for them in faraway Zaria, Kwara, Niger, IMO, Delta, Benue, Abia, Rivers states; everywhere we have structured our campaign. We have resolved to add our PVCs to our voices toward ensuring that Nigeria is restructured.”

He also maintained that the group is not dropping her mission after the election but will take it beyond the polls.
“JTRC is not limited to the victory at the polls by a candidate. That is not our goal. Our goal is to raise and influence debates for the restructuring of Nigeria. That we support Atiku to win the 2019 presidential election is because he has shown an honest desire to restructure the federation. It should be on record that we shall follow up with his presidency to see that he delivers on that mandate. We are happy he has said he will be president for a single term of four years and would achieve restructuring in six months. We shall hold him to his words.”
