Atiku Expresses Admiration For Ben Nwabueze
Atiku Abubakar, presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has taken to his twitter account to reminisce over the moment he was caught in a warm embrace with Ben Nwabueze.
This was yesterday when Southeast elders, comprising political, traditional and religious leaders as well as women groups, took the decision in Enugu to endorse the candidature of Atiku and his running mate, Peter Obi for presidency in the 2019 elections.
Abubakar described his meeting with Nwabueze as an emotional one, saying the octogenarian reminded him of “the unfinished Nigerian Project”.
“Professor Ben Nwabueze is a patriot and Nigeria’s foremost constitutional lawyer. In a very emotional meeting in Enugu, he reminded me of the unfinished Nigerian Project. I assure him, and every Nigerian, that I’ll keep my word,” Abubakar wrote.
