Minimum Wage: Osinbajo, State Governors, Ministers Hold Meeting To Prevent Labour Strike

Members of the Economic Management Team led by Vice President Yemi Osinbajo are currently meeting with some state governors with a view to making a decision on the new national minimum wage.

The meeting  which was ongoing inside the Presidential Villa, Abuja as at the filing of this report has in attendance, state governors of Zamfara State, Abdulaziz YariKebbi StateAtiku BaguduOsun StateRauf Aragbesola; and Plateau State GovernorSimon Lalong.

2019: No Election Rigging, Else – Wike Threatens Buhari

Governor Nyesom Wike’s political platform, the Grassroot Development Initiatives, GDI has threatened to mobilize Nigerian youths, women, professional bodies and other interest groups to stage a nationwide protest should, 2019 Presidential and Governorship election be rigged in favour of any particular person.

The Rivers State Governor who spoke through GDI Secretary General, Samuel Nwanosike,  at Igwuruta-Ali in Ikwerre Local Government Area of Rivers State during the inauguration of GDI Ikwerre chapter office, said, the Nigerian youths in particular will resist any attempt to rig both Presidential and Governorship election in Rivers State.

Certificate: Your acts absolutely disgraceful – Presidency berates PDP

The Presidency has described as absolute disgrace and diversionary, attempts by Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to challenge the authenticity of President Muhammadu Buhari’s West African School Certificate (WASC) in the court.

Malam Garba Shehu, the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity stated this in a statement in Abuja on Monday.

Fayose Finally Regains Freedom From EFCC’s Den

Ayodele Fayose, Ekiti state’s former governor has been freed from by Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), after spending 13 days in its custody.

Fayose walked into the head office of the commission in Abuja on October 16 to answer questions based on alleged money laundering and abuse of office.
