Kayode Fayemi of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has won the Ekiti state governorship election held yesterday Saturday July 14th. He won the election in 12 out of the 16 local governments in the state. He pulled a total of 197,459 while the PDP candidate and deputy governor of the state, Professor Kolapo Olusola, pulled a total of 178,114 votes.
According to electoral observers, the election was relatively peaceful and it witnessed a large turnout of voters.
INEC just declared him winner of the just concluded election.
