Heavy rains wreck havoc in Onitsha
The heavy downpour on Thursday, June 28, 2018 left in its wake destruction and death. The rains swept cars and people away and also knocked down fences. Anambra Broadcasting Service (ABS) Awada office, near Onitsha was also affected as part of its fence bordering Iba Pope was pulled down by the rains. Reports say many are still missing.
These pictures taken at at the Onitsha-Asaba Expressway near Ogboefere Market Onitsha shows some of the damage.
Unconfirmed reports also claim that the rains swept three bankers away at the Ochanja area.
